CONCERNING
ENACTMENT OF INDONESIAN FOOD CODEX 2001

Considering:

• a. That as an implementation of Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 23/1992 on Health and Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 7/1996 on Food, it is necessary to issue book of food additive quality requirements.
• b. That text of Indonesian Food Codex on Food Additives being the work result of the Committee for Revision and Printing of Indonesian Food Codex meets the requirements to be stipulated as a book of food additive quality requirements.

In view of:

• 1. The Constitution article 17 paragraphs (1) and (3);
• 2. Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 23/1992 on Health;
• 3. Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 7/1996 on Food;
• 4. Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection;
• 5. Ordinance of Dangerous Materials (Gevaarlijke Stoffen Ordonnantie, Stbl. 1949 No. 377).

DECIDES:

To stipulate:

First:

To ratify the Indonesian Food Codex on Food Additive the work results of Committee for Revision and Printing of Indonesian Food Codex, as quality requirements of food additives applicable in Indonesia.

Second:

Indonesian Food Codex on Food Additive 1979 shall remain be valid except the monography that has been revised in the Indonesian Food Codec 2001 as specified in the Attachment to this Decision.

Third:

This Decision shall come to effect 6 (six) months as from the stipulation date.
